Maya Atassi, Executive Director

Maya started with SCN in its first year, 2015, when she started as our Volunteer Coordinator. She helped grow the organization by helping establish each of our core programs through her role as Deputy Director and then Director of Operations. In January 2024, she was promoted to the role of Co-Executive Director and became the sole Executive Director in April 2025. As a second generation Syrian American, she was inspired to join SCN after feeling helpless by the turmoil in her parents' home country and wanted a way to give back to her community.
